Her Story

A Passion Born From Watching People Regain Their Lives

Dr. Sarah Khalil's journey into neurological physical therapy began with a simple but profound moment: watching a stroke patient take his first independent steps after weeks of work. That moment, she says, changed everything.

"I realized the brain can change. The body can adapt. People who were told they'd never walk again — walked. I wanted to be the person who made that possible, every single day."

As a New Englander raising her young son near the sea, Dr. Khalil brings the unhurried warmth of coastal life into every visit. She believes in taking time, in truly listening, and in honoring each patient's dignity and independence.

The Home Visit Model

Why Home-Based PT Is Clinically Superior

The evidence is clear: for neurological conditions, treating patients in their actual living environment produces measurably better outcomes.

🏠

Real-Environment Training

Research shows neurological PT in the home environment produces 23% better functional outcomes. Patients practice on their actual stairs, in their actual bathroom, navigating their actual furniture.

🔍

Home Safety Assessment

Dr. Khalil evaluates your actual living space for fall hazards, accessibility barriers, and safety concerns — something impossible to replicate in a clinic setting.

👨‍👩‍👧

Family & Caregiver Inclusion

Home visits allow family members and caregivers to participate, observe, and learn — extending therapeutic benefits 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

😌

Reduced Clinical Anxiety

Many patients — especially elderly adults — experience significant anxiety in clinical settings. In-home care eliminates this barrier, allowing deeper focus and better performance.

🚫

No Transportation Barriers

For patients with mobility limitations, the journey to a clinic is often the hardest part. Eliminating transport removes a major barrier to consistent, high-frequency therapy.

📊

Individualized, Focused Care

No crowded clinic waiting rooms, no shared equipment. Every minute of your home visit is 1:1 attention from Dr. Khalil, focused entirely on your goals.

Education Shouldn't End When the Session Does

Dr. Khalil has built a library of 200+ exercise tutorials and educational videos because she believes that empowering patients and caregivers with knowledge is as important as the therapy itself.

Available in both English and Arabic, her videos cover stroke recovery exercises, Parkinson's daily routines, caregiver guidance, fall prevention strategies, and much more.

Dr. Sarah Khalil
"Every patient who walks through my metaphorical door carries a world of stories, fears, and hopes. My job isn't just to treat their condition — it's to see the whole person, to honor their resilience, and to walk alongside them as they find their way back to the life they love."
